I was really excited for these to come!! Then when the bookends came, I was thoroughly disappointed.

First and foremost, this item shouldn’t be offered on Prime as it appears the company cuts corners for shipping (I’m unaware if this occurs with normal delivery). My first indicator should have been the larger size hole for the box. The bookends were packed using newspaper, yes, I said newspaper. For an item of this nature, it should be wrapped in bubble wrap and peanuts and a larger box (the box for shipment was maybe 8” L x 6” W x 4” D).

Second, I begin to carefully unwrap the bookends from the newspaper. With the first bookend, chunks of rock and geode are hitting my table as a result of the disastrous shipping job. In opening the second bookend, I find the same result.

Last, unless I missed it in the description of said product, I expected these to come with “protection”. There’s no felt/protective material on the bottom of the bookends. If you were hoping to just slide the product, you’ll end up scraping your precious bookcase/bookshelf.

I was really excited for these to go with my new office!! Sadly, I’ll probably end up returning them!!

Not worthy to be gifted. I can’t see how anyone would think this these bookends are a “pair.” Also, they look nothing like the listed item. I sent them as a Christmas gift to a friend. Now, I owe her an apology.

SO disappointed! Neither geode had any sort of grain or contrasting pattern to it- they looked like rocks with solid blue glass on one side, not like a geode at all. Plus the package inside the shipping box had a big red sticker on it like it was rejected previously by someone (or the producer), what the heck. Nothing pretty or unusual about this item, and neither one looks anything at all like any of the images. Really wanted these, too. This has to be an item you see firsthand, since they apparently will send a polished rock whether it looks like a geode or not. Grrrr!

I’m so disappointed with my delivery I just got! These are used, they don’t even line up when put together, one is taller then the other. They were wrapped in nasty, smelly old bubble wrap which was wrapped in the Incredible Hulk wrapping paper. Not cool when you order NEW!! I sent them back immediately...

The product is misleading it looks nothing like the photo, unless you it’s like a “by chance” type of product that is made by hand and you get it however it comes out, it should be specified in the description.

No rubber bumpers, not a “chunk of agate” a slice and they weigh just under a pound, together. The color is pretty and matches my living room, they will be used as decor, not sturdy enough to hold up books. They are pretty tho, just not useful.

I got the blue and natural colors and the blues were ok. They did their job well enough, but the outer layer keeps chipping off whenever I handle them. And the natural rocks were polished on the wrong side and not half as vibrant as any of the pictures show. If all the sides were polished then I could at least pick the more colorful side, but now I'm left with either a plain white rockface or a dull slightly more brown side. I would definitely not buy these again.

Very unsatisfactory and going back. The set looks nothing like natural stone, much less agate, and more like a chunk of resin. Worse still is that it has an overwhelming, powerful odor from whatever chemical they must have used to dye it a single shade of blue. I didn't even want to keep it unwrapped because of the odor. Can't wait to get rid of it.

You can see the color I was expecting- bright, vibrant gorgeous teal....when they arrived, they were a grey white quartz with a thin, barely there teal line where you see the darkest color. I sent them back. They were very disappointing
