Have you ever received mouldy pants in the mail? Me, neither! This is a whole new experience—never before have I opened a sealed bag inside a plastic shipping envelope to find black spots sprouting on garments. And in this driest of months! Gone are my visions of vast and arid Amazon warehouses filled with cookie cutter stacks of suburban apparel. No! These pants must have more organic beginnings. Perhaps they grew in the soil of an underground mushroom farm. Or were salvaged from a freighter dragged from the depths of its watery repose. So fun to imagine! Now, if I can figure out how to clean them without inviting an explosion of spores, they just might be okay.

I'm giving these jeans 3 stars because they fit as expected and cons aren't enough to return. I'm 5'8" and 210 lbs with long legs and shortish waist. These cinch a bit at the belly, but not uncomfortably so. They fit around my thighs and are neither baggy nor skin tight. The length is perfect for me...the hem hits the top of my shoes.
As others have mentioned, these are not 98% cotton. The tag says 75% cotton, 24% polyester and 1% spandex. I hate when the waist band folds on itself or rolls, so hopefully there is enough cotton structure to keep this from happening. Will update the review if this happens. I also checked the Lee website for these same jeans and the fabric composition is correctly described there, so it is misstated here.
Also as others have mentioned, the buttonhole is TOO TIGHT! Basically, a buttonhole stitch has been sewed in a sort of teardrop shape and then the middle sliced open to create the buttonhole. I took scissors to it to trim all around the inside of the stitching to make the buttonhole bigger before I even tried on...I was afraid I wouldn't be able to unbutton them otherwise.

Labeled incorrectly

I finally found some great fitting jeans that came in long lengths. Unfortuantely, the dark jeans I received were 2" shorter than the white long pair I ordered in the same size. I also measured them against a long pair I ordered last year, and they were still shorter.
I would not mind returning the jeans and ordering them again, but, even though returns are free, where I live there is no UPS drop off so I have to pay a drop-off fee at a local store for every item returned. It can get expensive.
I still recommend these jeans. Nice straight leg, good weight for summer or winter, wash and dry with few wrinkles and not much shrinkage in length, and keep their color reasonably well.

Sizing doesn't seem relaxed in thighs

I bought a size 16 which is my usual size in Lee Jeans these days. I am 5"7" and hover between 185-190 pounds. These are light weight jean material and have just the right amount of stretch. They fit perfectly in the waist, but are a bit longer than I thought they would be for a regular length pant. They also fit in the hips, but they are close fitting in my thighs which is where I carry most of my extra weight. I am keeping them because, even at age 71, hope springs eternal that if a lose a couple of pounds it will come off where I most want it to. It's important to note that the washing instructions say to wash them in cold water and line or flat dry, which I find unusual for jeans. They did not shrink at all with the cold water wash so I will have to hem them, a consideration for those without a sewing machine.

Too late to return even though gone

I bought these jeans in early March. We were spending several weeks in Arizona and I forgot to change the mailing address. They arrived at my regular home address in Colorado. I had no way to return them on time. Upon arrival back home I tried the pants and they don't fit. Is there anyway you could see fit to allow me to return these pants? I would be most grateful.
