To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This game got us through the first 2 weeks of self-isolation. We've recommended it to all our friends isolated in pairs as it's kept us entertained for hours - to the point where we're tweaking the rules to make it last longer. Whilst knowing HP makes it more entertaining, it's possible to play the game without being a HP fan.
The one thing I fault about it though is that the instructions are LIGHT. It's a fairly complex game, and after reading the instructions, we still had so many questions. Watched a couple of youtube videos, and it all fell into place though.
For those who have played the Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle collaborative version, this game is similar but instead of fighting the dark arts, you are trying to stun the other player. You will choose a house to begin the game and then certain cards have abilities specific to your house. Also, as you play allies, you may gain their house abilities as well (while they are in play). You play until someone has stunned the other player 3 times.
This is a deck building game, which means you have the freedom to choose which cards you buy and add to your hand (assuming you have enough coins in your hand). These cards will stay in your deck (for the most part) and you will cycle through them for the entirety of the game.
I think this version is much easier to learn and teach and is a great version to okay with 2 players. My wife and I enjoy this game and will play it as often, or slightly more, than the original collaborative version.
