The quality and construction was outstanding and, based on that alone, it deserves a 5 star rating. The size however, was MUCH too small. My standard bra size is 38DD and certainly some bras fit bigger or smaller but that bra was no more than a C cup, even taking into account that it needs to fit tight.
As a member of the tig ol bitty club, and saggy ones at that, it is extremely difficult to find a properly fitting, supportive sports bra. I can’t even remember how many different brands and styles I’ve tried over the years. Not a single one was worth the money. Until this one.
PROS: - This one keeps my ladies up where they SHOULD be, and safely secured. - It doesn’t pull on my shoulders from the weight of trying to support them. - It’s the first sports bra I’ve used that I’m not having to constantly adjust because the ladies are trying to escape out of the top. - NO UNIBOOB! - No removable pads! - They wash well on a gentle cycle in the washing machine. Just make sure to air dry! - Sizing fit as expected. - Very comfortable! I’m not a lover of bras. I’m usually that woman who rips the bra off with a huge sigh of relief the second she gets home. But, I actually sometimes forget I’m wearing this one...which is unheard of!
CONS: - The padding is a bit thin. So things could get a little nippy. - Itchy stitching ... I saw a few reviews complaining about this, but I had no issue with my first one (the dark blue). However, after loving my first so much, I ordered a second. White, so I could wear it unseen under light colored shirts. The stitching on that sucker is horribly itchy. I mean, it’s to the point where it turns my skin red. I’m not sure whether different colors are stitched differently or what. All I know is, this is my formal apology to the previous reviewers whom I unfairly judged as picky.
OVERALL ASSESSMENT: I still adore this bra, despite the itchy issues with my second one. I love it so much that I wear it as my everyday bra most of the time now. I’d definitely buy again and recommend... just not the white one.
I now own 3 of these and I think they’re the only bras I’ll buy in the future. I love the clasp in the back that allows for some flexibility in the tightness of the band. The straps are padded and are adjustable which makes them very comfortable. I’m typically a 32DDD bra and ordered a 34D in this. The padding is thin but just thick enough to provide good support. It’s hard to find a sports bra that is both comfortable to wear and also supportive during high intensity workouts, but this one definitely fits the bill.
Champion is the go to sports bra. It even has extra padding on the shoulders and doesn’t dig. Great support. Do yourself a favor... measure underneath your breasts to get to your band size and then add 4” — my actual band size was 36” and this what I always wore! No wonder it was too tight! So I ordered a 40DD and it fit just right. I am in between a 40d and a 40dd and the cups were slightly big on top. Size Down if you are in between. This is your go to bra and the price cannot be beat!!!
It didn’t work for me, but it could be perfect for some women. Band size feels true to size, lm 34 C in most bras, it was fine. Fabric has little give, but it’s soft and supportive. Cup size, it was too small, most likely D cup wold be better. Deal breaker, straps. Way too short, padding was in front, instead of top of my shoulders. I’m tall, with long torso, this bra seems to be designed for petite/short torso, with high set breasts. So, if you always shorten your bra straps, this one may work well for you, but go up one cup size.
