I was hoping the small shoulder pads and lapel shape would not look like I just stepped off of the set of Seinfeld, but, alas.... it did!😂 The sleeves are too short, so rolling them up is the only option. After that, it 💯 clinched the 1990 fashion deal. On a positive note, I thought the color was nice, nice liner, decent quality and very pretty color. I bought the blue, which was like a slate blue. I really wanted to like it. If it were longer and didn’t have that metal hook way down at belly button, it may have been ok. All the women in the pics I saw in the reviews looked great in it. Maybe it’s just me, seeing myself in it that gave me the 90’s vibe.
I am 5’8 . 38inch bust and a large fit perfectly. This feels more like a light jacket. The quality is ok for the price. It does look alittle on the cheaper side because the fabric is so light weight. If you are looking for a real professional blazer this is not for you. If you are looking for a blazer that is light weight for style this is for you.
Pros - Nice looking (lined) blazer. Reasonably priced. Steam irons easily. The should pads are very slight - not like the "football player" shoulder pads of yesteryear. Cons - Runs pretty small. I take a large and, although the arms fit perfect, the blazer doesn't even come close to closing in the middle. On either side, at the bottom, the jacket sticks out slightly. It's almost as if the material is not sewn perfectly. And maybe that's an individual thing. Blazers are so expensive. I'm still debating on whether to keep this or not. I don't need it every day for work. I just wanted to have one in case I needed/wanted it for work.
It’s small and there’s no give to it. I wear XL when it comes to tops, jacket, coats etc. I ordered XXL to be on the safe side and it’s still very tight on me. This blazer is for petit people and it will look nicer on someone with a smaller chest too since it doesn’t have a button right under the breasts. The closure is on waist height so if you have a larger chest it will open up all the way down to your waist and look awkward and not flattering at all.
Fit fine across shoulders and in arms, but falls very straight and I've got a large chest and hips, so it sat at a weird angle and was too tight when hooked in front. Sleeves came down to the middle of my palms, so I'm afraid if I size up it will be too long in the sleeves/shoulders. Quality very nice. Good color and lining. Seems sturdy but comfortable. Shame it didn't fit me quite right!
I ordered two of these both in medium. The first one fit well. The second medium came in 1 -2 inches less in length in the sleeves and the same 1-2 inches shorter in the overall length of the jacket. So, hard to say what size to order. The second one is a bit tighter and I can wear it but it’s slightly uncomfortable. First one fits better. Obviously they are varied in size. I would have exchanged however, strange stuff is going on right now.
Also the fabric is kind of shiny. So should note that. I like it. But was surprised. I would prefer a non shiny fabric. But I do like this as it’s “ fun”.
I went with a small despite other ratings because my measurements matched. Everything looks great except when I try to move my arms. The armpit sits at a weird place and the seam that connects the arms to the torso makes the fitting too tight. I can’t really raise my arms above my head. If I were to size up, the blazer would look too long and silly. Fastening the front also causes a bulge in my upper back because the fabric doesn’t give and there aren’t any cuts for curves.
