To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This rug is wonderfully soft, but the backing is so thin that i can feel the coldness of the tile underneath. I even put a slipproof sheet under to help but it still is too thin compared to the bathrugs I have gotten from Costco. It is now shedding and I find bits of it around the bathroom.
I like the rug, the size is excellent for my rather wee little bathroom, and I like that it is machine washable---but I have washed it twice, and it tends to shed and lose its shag. It is still useable, but I do not how many washes it will withstand.
I initially liked these rugs but after the first washing they are a bit of a mess. I washed them in cold water in the delicate cycle and low heat in the dryer. Three of the four came out of the dryer with a mat or tangle in the pile. I had to spend about 40 minutes gently trying to finger brush out the tangles. They looked ok after the first wash, I am concerned about any subsequent washes. This is such a shame as the color is perfect and they are really soft. I know it is not my washer or dryer. This is not the first time I have owned bathroom rugs and washed them.
Recently I replaced all my bathroom rugs with this color and version of a thick pile carpet. Within a couple months, one of them was totally matted down in one area. That one has been relegated to the dumpster. So far, the other pieces including this one have survived; we'll see. Met my expectations so far. Three stars. See below.
Most people start out reviews from one of two positions. About 5% of all reviews are a one star because the product they received was poor quality, or they did not get it all and the consumer is just mad. I don’t believe 5% of every product made goes out useless, but everyone who gets a bad unit will tell you.
About 90% of reviewers start at 5 stars, and if the reviewer did not find anything heinous about the product, that’s what they give. To 90% of people, 5 stars means, “it was just ok.”
From this day forward, my reviews start from the middle. Three stars: the product met my expectations. If I give it four stars, the product exceeded my expectations for quality, value, or performance. In case of five stars, the got itself out of the box itself and walked across the water.
If I give a product two stars, it failed to meet my expectations in some way. Anything deserving the ignominious one star review either went back to the vendor or into the dumpster.
I love the feeling of it, but im extremely disappointed in the size. The size they listed on here for the 16x24, is NOT accurate... or maybe they just sent me the wrong one.. idk... but the one i recieved is not 2 feet (24 inches) its more like 18 inches (1.5ft)... The 16 inch part is accurate though.
Im pretty irritated because i wanted it to go in front of my shower which is 4 feet, so a 2-3 foot rug would be good there. But now... i have to order another one. Im irritated. :/ I wish this corona virus wasn't happening cause I'd rather purchase in a store.
The color (CORAL) was exactly as pictured on Amazon using my Mac stock calibrated monitor. The comfort level left a little to be desired - could feel bumps and lumps everywhere, so I returned it, wanting a rug which is cush and comfy for my bare feet.
These runs are very soft and a beautiful dark blue color. Not as soft on our bathroom tile floor. Constantly walking and moving about, even with another rug under them. The one beside my side of the bed traveled 10 + feet towards our bathroom on its own. The filing cabinet is the only thing that stopped it, it still tried to push past it. I have a bonkino, (desk barstool) on top of the rug and it is still walking.
I bought 3 rugs for my bathroom. Problem is the do not stay where you put them. They travel with normal everyday use. I had to buy three non slip pads to place under them. They are beautiful in color. They are very soft and absorbent. But the extra cost of buying the non slip pads.... you shouldn’t have to do that. I was a little disappointed to say the least.
