Used these for a doggy-doorbell for my lab. We trained her to ring a bell when she needs to go outside or come back in. They have taken a beating from both my toddler and my dog and are still holding up.

Plenty load enough for our purposes. Not going to win any design awards, but our purpose was function not beauty.

The one outside has started to tarnish a bit, so if your plan was decorative outside bells this might not be the best long term solution. But, like I said, we needed functional cheap bells. These were perfect.

Nice sound, hard to hang as a doorbell

The bells are well-made and have a nice sound. However, I had a hard time hanging the bells, so they would jingle when someone opened the door to my shop. It takes a lot of motion to activate the clapper. I ended up hanging them from the arm of the door closer, but the bells hit the door and crash against the glass more than they jingle.

BUYER BEWARE. The first time I ordered these bells I received the items as described and pictured—loved them. When I reordered, they send a smaller set with an outer curve instead of an inner curve; completely different size and shape. I returned the second set and asked for a replacement, describing the problem. The replacement came immediately but was once again the wrong item. (See photo). Do they seriously not know what they’re shipping or is this a bait and switch? So very frustrating, as well as a waste of time and energy. Amazon should have a system in place to keep the sellers trustworthy.

Put this on my dog collar to help me find her in the dark . Works pretty well until the clacker falls out!
Clacker needs to be better secure instead of a cheap piece of bent wire used to hold it in/on the bell.

The bell has a nice tone, but the clacker is weak!

Buy the bell, replace the clacker! It's ok, but can not recommend this item.
