I had to return this blazer. This blazer is a steal for many, however for larger busted women it may be tricky to find your right size. I ordered the small, based on the size chart and Reviews, however it was too restrictive. I am 5’3, 34D, and size 6, so perhaps women with a smaller bust may have no issues. Also, the material is decent for the price, but ironing out deep wrinkles was too much. Would recommend to those on a budget, but I am going to invest in something of higher quality.
I bought this because I needed a spring-weight plain black jacket and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. That said, this jacket looks okay from a distance but the workmanship is mediocre. The lining doesn't fit the jacket; it's quite loose and blousey, and that makes the jacket look funny when you put it on. Also, the lining in the sleeves isn't secure, so when you put the jacket on, the lining of the sleeves wanders out towards your hand. And although it is machine washable, it needs to be ironed; the creases from storage and shipping needed a higher temperature and plenty of steam to smooth out.
I was so excited to get this jacket for my job interview. The jacket is lightweight and very flattering. The only issue I had with it was that it runs small if you have any sort of chest. I normally wear a large but sized up because of my large chest (38DDD) and it fit but it was tight when I buttoned the jacket and the button ended up popping off.
I bought these jackets because of the price and needed them for the office as it gets cold. it’s true you get what you pay for. I can’t explain it, but compared to my other blazers, these crease and hold wrinkles. The lining is poorly sewn, but at least no one sees it but me. Doesn’t look like as nice as what is featured in the ad. Plus it was soooooo wrinkled when each one was delivered that I had to steam and press each one. I bought these in black, navy, and gray.
It is a great quality blazer, but the arms were quite large and large at the cuff area. I felt manly in it. I need a larger size due to my large bosom, but my arms are dainty and it made me look like I was wearing an oversized clown jacket. This not being a custom made jacket, it may fit a normal body - just not mine.
If you have athletic arms, size up and prepare to tailor the jacket. The arms will be tight and the rest will be oversized. I purchased my regular size and unfortunately had to return it because of the way it fits. I agree with the others that the quality of the fabric is good making it appropriate for work settings. I wish it fit given the awesome price point but it doesn’t mesh well with my body shape.
I 1st ordered a L (based off of the reviews) it was way too small, couldn't button it & tight on my upper arms & across my back. Returned it & ordered an XL-still the same issues. I'm going to return it & try to find a different maker of this style. This cut is obviously not for me.
The bodice fits well and is flattering. HOWEVER, the sleeve length is ridiculous. I have long arms, but I will need to have at least two inches taken off. Weird. FYI: Although the fabric IS black, it is a softer black (more on the charcoal side) as opposed to, say, Calvin Klein brand.
