Very thin fabric. I use that term "fabric" loosely, as it's like a very thin satin type material. Like those satin baseball coats from the 80's, just not as shiny and without the white cotton lining. My wife is 6ft with full hips and she stated the 24W fit her the way she wanted. It fits her arm length and covers her hips without bunching, or drawing attention to her hips. The hood is a full hood, and will actually fall over her eyes. I suppose so it will work with a hat or taller hair styles. There is really no warmth value from this. It is purely a raincoat, but not heavy and hot like the cheap vinyl ones our parents made us wear as kids. This is the type of raincoat she was wanting for very early summer, late spring, when it's in the 70s and you want something thin to throw over your lighter clothes when a windy rainstorm comes in, without sweating to death. Used in conjunction with a compact umbrella, she feels this is exactly what she was looking for, for these types of dreary days. The olive color in the photograph is also accurate in person. Deducted 1 star only for the buttons. Shes happy so so am I. Her only complaint, as such, was the buttons seem sort of odd on this type of jacket. like snaps would have made more sense to her.
I needed something lite weight, not lined so that I could wear it year round for rain protection. This jacket is just that...thin, lite weight, classy with the leopard cuffs and wood grain looking buttons. I plan on ordering another one. The material is a slick, thin material but still seems quite solid and durable. I've already used it in the rain and was well protected. I love the "over the hip" length as well. Perfect for professional office wear as well as casual, sporting and outdoors. I'm also wide shouldered, plus size and my normal size is a perfect fit with a tad bit of extra room which I appreciate.
Seems like a nice jacket. I think it is a little big, but thats fine since I would layer it anyway. Not lined at all, the picture kinda of made me think that it was lined but it isn't. The contrast on the sleeves gives it character. Not worn it in the rain yet, I hope it is water proof. If it isn't I will report back.
This is cute, but it’s JUST a rain coat. No padding at all. In the picture it looks like an actual jacket; I didnt realize it’s like a rain poncho from Disneyland lol. It’s cute for a rain poncho, but NOT worth 30 dollars. Or 20 even.
the jacket looks like the one in the picture . I intend carrying it by my seamstress to put in a zip. I wore the jacket in the rain and to my surprise I remained dry. The material is waterproof and lite weight. I can now say the rain coat is a good coat however it would be better if there was a zip on the inside.
This is the perfect rain jacket for traveling! Went to Rome in November, when rain is common, light enough to be used as a windbreaker as well, and easy to put away in my backpack purse if not needed! Great price! Love it!
Bought to wear on rainy days over my office work clothes. It is long - to my knees and I am 5'11" tall. Very thin, water proof. However the hood tends to fall back consistently. But serves the purpose to keep my clothes dry.
