This was a gift for my partner, and he very much enjoys it! It's good for about a single cup of tea or coffee, so if you like to carry a lot this probably isn't for you. If you put boiling water in in the morning by lunchtime it is a comfortable drinking temperature, so it definitely loses heat throughout the day, but not too badly for if you want to drink it in a few hours time.
I got this because I love penguins. Once it came, my kid claimed it as his own. It holds a decent amount of liquid and we use this to hold his hot chocolate whenever we go to the mountain. Even at nearly freezing temperatures, this holds his hot chocolate hot for a pretty decent amount of time. After a full day of snowboarding, it cooled down enough to be the perfect drinking temperature. I also like how it doesn't leak, so you can just close it up and throw it in a bag and not have to worry about it.
This was a Christmas gift for my wife from our 6-year-old daughter. It got the desired reaction - she loves penguins and drinks coffee all day long. It's not large, but it holds a regular cup of coffee and my wife's absurd levels of creamer. Keeps it warm for a reasonable amount of time, especially with the lid on. It's a functional novelty. It seems well-made.
If you're looking to hold any real amount of liquid, look elsewhere, but if all you need is something small, this guy works just fine. I'm a delivery driver, and about once a week I go up to deliver to a resort in the mountains, even in the cold winter, with the lid on he'll stay warm to hot for at least 4-5 hr, with it off for at least about 1-2hr. Haven't kept anything cold in it for too long, but it'll definitely stay cold for at least an hour. He only fits maybe 6-8 oz though, be aware. (About the size of a disposable paper cup) The quality of the materials are fairly good, and it actually feels worth the price (for MATERIALS, not size)
I love this, it was a Christmas gift. It keeps coffee warm/water cold. It is small enough to put into a tote bag or larger purse and doesn't make my backpack weigh a ton. A great gift as we cannot use water fountains and I don't want to buy plastic bottles. Very adorable and stays tightly shut.
