I really wanted to give these 5 stars. As other reviews mention, the thigh pockets are nice, but ever-so-slightly too “short” if you want to fully contain and secure any modern sizeable phone while being active in these pants (my iPhone 8 with a non-bulky case would go all the way in, but I cannot zip the pocket closed). Not a deal-breaker that I’d return them, but I’ll reconsider carrying my phone there on serious treks.
Other than that, they seem to be everything I’d expect in a good hiking pant. They feel well-constructed and comfortable, I’d say comparable to more expensive brands but at 25-30% less money. I’m typically a size 4 in other brands designed for hiking, and these fit perfectly with the right amount of stretch. I’m 5’5”, a slim but solid 135 lbs, with curvy 2-child hips; if you like a looser fit, the 6 might be a better choice for you, but the 4 fit me as I like hiking pants - snug enough but not “tight” and the fabric has just the right amount of “give.”
I’ve yet to wear them getting hot and sweaty on a trail, walking or climbing, but they are stylish enough to wear them around as well. Some reviews mentioned they didn’t breath well, but others found them fine so I look forward to trying them out.
These pants are very cute . The material is soft and comfortable and the fit is true to size . My only complaint with the pants is the button . The button is sewn on very poorly. The first time I tried these pants on I noticed the button was not very secure and I would have to resew button before I wore them otherwise I may lose the button. There’s no second button attached like some items provide in an attached pouch . I think for the price paid for the pants the button should definitely be better quality or sewn on better. So , for the Inconvenience of having to do it myself and It being something That you shouldn’t need to address before wearing a brand new pair of pants for the first time I’m giving 3 stars. I also only wore these twice since fixing the button and so far and no issues and they washed good .
Overall I like these capris and will probably order another pair. However I live in the desert and I can already tell they're too warm for our hot summer days. Inside they're very comfortable so I'll keep them for wearing when the temps are mild but not desert hot. I'm 5'3" and 102 lbs and I ordered a regular size 0. Usually I wear a size 2 from most retailers, but even the 0 is just a tad big, especially in the waist, so I need a belt. The pockets are very useful.
I love the cargo pockets. They are just slightly small for my Moto4X, but good enough. They aren't super breathable in hot weather, but I knew that. I wear them golfing and about town and they are my goto capri now. I even bought another pair, as well as the long pant at Eddie Bauer Outlet. I normally wear a 10 to 12 in various brands, but the 10 is a bit large. I bought the pant in an 8 and it is perfect. I'm 5'6.5" and weigh 140. I carry most of my weight in my belly. The size 10's still work but need a belt. I feel it is worth the retail price, but you can get them on holiday sales from the EB website as well.
I like the stretch of the fabric, though it is not nearly as light weight as I had hoped. They dry fast, but are not that cool. I'll be moving the button in nearly two inches as the waist is too loose. Even though I am barely down to a size 8, I can pull these off without unzipping them, so I'd say they run large. I don't care for the location of the zip pockets, which tend to get caught on everything I encounter and create a wide place where I'm already wide enough. I see no purpose or advantage to the adjustable leg openings. The location of the itchy care instructions and other tags was such that I had to cut them off, but at risk of damaging the garment, as they were serged into the side seam.
I love these pants so much I bought 2 other capris and a pair of their long pants. The fit is great and allows you to move freely, especially in more challenging hikes. I love that the fabric keeps you cool and breathes well. I am looking forward to wearing these pants in the summer months on hikes to help keep me cool/and quickly dry if they were to get wet. My new favorite pant!
I love Capris. I am older and not too fond of my legs so like to cover up more than wearing shorts. I have one pair of Eddie Bauer capris, different style, in a size 10, my usual size, but are too big after wearing them for a short period of time after washing/drying. I read other reviews on these Guide Pro capris stating they run large so ordered in an 8 and am really glad I did. They fit beautifully and are great for summer. I may well order them in another color!
I really like the pants, however the sizing is off. I am a true solid size 6, but the 6's were so big that I was able to put them on and off without unfastening. I returned and got size 4 and they are nice, but big too. I feel these are vanity sizing. Realistically I could wear a size 2 in these. If you are into Vanity Sizing. These are perfect for you. Otherwise you should order at least 1 size smaller
These are comfortable, I bought them to wear to work while I had my leg in a cast. They are quick dry, dont wrinkle much. Waist is bigish, unless the size is mislabeled? Only thing I didnt like is the Lettering on the left pocket, not great for work, I used a navy blue sharpie to cover it so it's not so noticable. Works so far.
I love these cargo capris. I bought two pairs in black and then a pair in blue. They are comfortable, flattering and I love the zipper pockets to put my keys in and lens cap. I live at the beach and I wear them all the time for power walks and also if I am out shooting pictures. I just wish that my iPhone 11 fit in the zipper pocket but that will not stop me from buying them
