Have been looking for a front-clasp, no seam, no underwire bra for a while now. This Fruit of the Loom came as a set of black and sand colored - perfect! - in the exact right size, and are all the things above... including machine washable! But more than anything - SO COMFORTABLE. Ladies, can’t recommend this bra enough.
I would like to add since that review that the front closure on one of the bras refuses to stay shut. Yes, it both undoes while I’m wearing it and as I try to apply the clasps to put it on. The other bra seems fine so far.
I wanted this bra to wear around the house just to get some light support to prevent breast pain caused by fibrocystic breast changes and fibroadenomas. Any lady with cysts knows that they are painful at times and support is a must. I wear 34D and I ordered size 34 per the size chart. It was too small. It squished my boobs together so much you couldn't fit a toothpick between them. Maybe this would be ok for workout but it's not the ideal fit for all day wear. I exchanged for size 36 and it is much better. The band is comfortable and my boobs have room while still being supported. My one critique is that they should have made the straps adjustable. The length they are at puts the band right under my breasts and as soon as I start moving around it slips just a fraction which places it ON the bottom of my breasts. They either needed to make the bra band lower or the straps longer. This bra is very lightweight so I would not call it a sports bra. Maybe you would wear for something very low impact like yoga but anything that causes bounce such as jogging would not work with these. In conclusion, this is exactly what I wanted and would be comfortable if the straps were longer but as it is, I’ve tried to wear it a few times and the band just does not sit low enough to be comfortable. It’s going into the donation pile.
I bought this after having a double mastectomy. It said true to size but I still ordered a size up due to arm restriction. Nope. Couldn't even get the bra to even remotely come together as it was that tight. Since I obviously was unable to drive, getting to the post office wasn't going to work. They sent a UPS return slip a few days later but I live very remotely and had no way to get a box or anything to return it in and can't drive yet. I tried everything with Amazon but they wouldn't issue a refund or send out a larger size until they received the small merchandise. I even offered a doctor's letter my husband used for the Army so they knew it wasn't a scam. What a mess! I decided to donate them to a fellow cancer warrior and mail when I'm able. I keep washing by hand the two I'll fitting ones the hospital gave me because I didn't want to keep hoping what I order would fit. Do better Amazon!
I had breast implants taken out. Need compression for the next month. I ordered a 38 and it is comfortable provides good compression but it rides up and doesn’t stay down so it’s actually too short for my body I am 5 8, but the width and compression is perfect. I’m disappointed I like it and I like the color and I like the compression. It feels good initially but then becomes scratchy and the bottom hook scratch skin. For the price it’s a great deal but to wear to work for the next three weeks I can’t be having to pull it down constantly and can’t have it up rubbing into my stitches. For somebody with a shorter body frame might be good.
I wear normal no wire minimizers double support. Some writer said this is supportive to me this is no means supportive of nothing. I know with time every big breasted womans breast will sag wear this bra and they will sag triple fast this is not supportive it is lite cotton I won't even sleep in this I'm a 36 ddd to try for extra support I even tried twisting the band up that didn't work either I did find a Bali cotton bra Bali is what I normally wear but mine are usually polyester they make u sweat more I dont like the girls sweating and my ribs being irritated by wearing plastic in the summer. I just wanted a cotton bra
I have mobility issues with my shoulders and ribs, so I was hoping these would be comfortable with no underwire and an easy clasping in the front. Alas, they are not for large cups. By some miracle I was able to get one on, but my boobs were so smushed it was ridiculous. The uniboob is real and the coverage is not. Unfortunately I already washed them, so I'll be donating them.
This bra has very thick scratchy thread doubled up and sewn at bottom of hook and eye area in the front. It was scratching my skin underneath that area! It was so much so that I could not tolerate it, so I improvised and had to cut that thick line of thread on the front off with a pair of scissors. The bra might not last as long because I had to do that. I don't know what the mfr did to that thread. Almost like they coated it with super glue or something scratchy for reinforcement purposes. It's a shame, too, because this bra fits extremely well. But because I had to make an alteration to it which should be unnecessary, I am rating it only a 2.
I wish I could rate this higher--it is nice cotton & like the front closure, but there is a reason why women need cup sizes for bras! I got the size noted for my band & DD cup, and I either spill out above, or the bra pulls up from below and uncomfortable on the bottom band... If designers want to make comfortable bras for all cups, PLEASE MAKE THEM WITH CUP SIZE OPTIONS! If I were no more than a B cup, this would be 5 star.
