I keep hoping cwx tights will work for me so I've tried several styles now. They all have the same problem: the waist does not stretch. These are no exception. There is a wide piece of elastic sewn into the waist, which has very little give and the waist opening is already very small. When I try to pull these past my hips, I'm afraid the seams are going to burst. It is ridiculously hard to do. Why is there no give to the waistband? These are labeled as women's tights but it seems like it never occurred to the manufacturer that hips could be wider than the waist. It's like they are made for stick figures.
I really wanted to like this. I have hypermobile joints and pain when walking and this was my last resort.
I usually wear a size S and I ordered a S based on their sizing chart as well. I am not a tall person but it runs more like an ankle crop than full length tights. Also, the waist rise is really low. The perfect rise for a muffin top. It squeezes the lower end of your hip bones painfully unless you let it ride even lower. It was hard to align this to my knees because while I don't have extra long legs, somehow the knee patches did not line up without me feeling like the tights were falling off of my hips. If I pull it all the way up, the knee patches would go up past my knees. Maybe whoever designed this thought a size Small means Short Legs? So in order to line up the knee patches, I had to pull the leg holes up higher like an ankle crop and also pull down the waistband like a low rise hipster pant. They should have labeled this Extra Short instead of Small.
Funnily enough, while it's super short, it's also not super tight either. I can barely feel the compression effect. I can somewhat feel the band on the outside of the knee, which I take as a good sign of it nudging my hypermobile joint into place, but that's all I can feel. Not feeling the taping effect at all.
In conclusion, it's weirdly short but also kinda loose, super low on the hips to the point of falling off, while also painfully tight in the waistband to create a voluptuous muffin top.
It's a cool looking piece of clothing to be sure, but if I had known it would be like this, I would not have spent 90 dollars on it.
these feel good if you can pull them on. that was a huge struggle for me. and then breathing. not sure the special sawn in lines actually make any difference. tights feel tight all over. period. material is so thin i could feel every breeze on my legs outside. returned them.
