Comfortable and well made.

I have three of these skirts. One of the straight style in "black floral" print, and two of the "flippy" style, one black and one navy blue.

I ordered the straight style based on the size chart, then ordered one flippy the same and the other one size down. I like the smaller size for running, etc. These have plenty of stretch, so the smaller size still fits perfectly, but it's a little more secure, especially with the weight of a phone in the pocket. The "proper" size is still perfectly fine for less active wear.

The straight style has nicer fabric. Smooth drape and doesn't seem to hold wrinkles. On the downside, the shorts are just a bit longer than necessary, and being plain white, they want to peek a little more often than I'd like. I wish they were coloured and/or an inch shorter.

The flippy style has better shorts (a little shorter, and colour-matched), so even digging your phone out of the pocket doesn't make an obvious "flash". However, the fabric is not as nice. It doesn't hang quite as well, and it likes to hold some wrinkles.

Overall I'm happy with all three skirts. They seem well made with no signs of wear after several machine washings (delicate, cold water), they're very comfortable, and the hidden phone pocket works quite nicely for me.

I gave this 4 stars because I haven't worn or washed yet. Fabric is nice, slightly shiny, which is good because dog hair doesn't stick. It's also thin enough that having the shorts underneath doesn't make it bulky. I normally wear a small, but I ordered a medium. I have difficulty pulling up bottoms as I'm physically disabled. The length also varies by size and I wanted the skort to be a bit longer. I probably could have managed with the small, but I'm keeping the medium because I don't mind it being a bit looser. These are exactly as pictured, and if they hold up after washing, I would consider buying again. They would be good for golfers, or if you wanted a bit more coverage than just bike shorts. For a young person, they'd be a cute little mini skit, and they could move around and bend over without exposing their underwear. The longer version of this skort could be worn for sport, and is nice enough to wear as a casual skirt.

You should order a size up to ensure a proper fit. I normally wear a medium and, based on comments, I ordered a large and it’s the right size. The skirt is cute and the pattern I selected is nice but, despite what the write-up says, the skirt that I got (they call the pattern ‘Blue Floral’ despite it looking like a bunch of scribbles) definitely DOES NOT have pockets. I bought the skirt for golf and wanted pockets, but decided to keep it anyway. If the skirt had pockets, as advertised, I would have then ordered more in different patterns, but I’ll have to do with just the one.

I really like how comfortable this is. It has an elastic waist and eventhough it's a bit too big, I got a small, it fits wel. The colour is off from the picture, I thought it would be black but it has a purple sheen to it. The fabric is polyester, I think. The shorts are white, which makes no sense because if the skirt rides up, you'll see the glaring white of the skirt, which kind of looks like a girdle.

The problem is that I also bought the circle print and the starry night print in medium and they are shorter and tighter and I have to return them . They also have narrower waist bands than the geometric print .
