Looks very cheap throughout. Whole body is wrapped with cheap looking golden tape. Base is cheap white plastic. We are trying to return it, seems seller does not agree and we won't get refund, I will have to chuck it in my garbage bin.

I’ll admit, at first when my order of two arrived in one fairly small amazon envelope and then I opened it to find two small thin rectangular boxes the size a strand of Xmas lights comes in, my heart sank as I thought aw man, a whole tree is supposed to be in THIS? What a rip off!! But I open the first box and pulled it all out and lo and behold, a whole tree IS in each box and OMG I ADORE THEM. I got the ones with the pearl sized lights for either side of my bed and they instantly made my room the place I wanted to sit all night. They give a soft whitish amberish glow (the photos don’t even capture exactly how nice and glowy the whole room got with them on) and to be honest I wouldn’t mind having one in another room now too. I read all the reviews before buying and a lot of people complained that they were surprised that the trunk and branches are just wrapped in gold foil tape, but you can clearly see this in the product photos and I assure you, it doesn’t detract and they look exactly as advertised. My only complaint which is just my insanely picky way, is I wish the base had the option to snap the tree in facing either direction because I’d wanted the trunks to face opposite directions on either side of my bed. But that’s my own kooky issue, not the trees. If you’re looking for something low priced to instantly make a room about 1000% more delightful, I highly recommend. I may even end up buying more as gifts. It’s daytime now, and I’ve turned them back on... because they’re that adorable. Yay. 😊

I love it! I keep it on my bedside table and it adds a great ambiance to the room. It's not too bright. Only downfall is it does not come with a wall adapter. It's batteries or USB only. I used an old cellphone adapter with the USB cord to plug it into the wall.
