Great quality, strong zips, just want I've been after so I can access my phone easier than I can from an SPIBelt, while not having to worry about it flying out of a pocket as I do with most other jogging shorts. I've just ordered a second set of 2 so I can keep a set in the car for jogging when out and about, and another to use for swimming.

I have been looking for shorts that are ideal fir riding the bike to the gym, and specifically wanted deep side zip up pockets. I have bought a couple of different pairs off Amazon, and I am extremely happy with all of them. The fit has been good, the waist elastic firm, the pockets a good size, they are well made, and the material suits the application. For this application I highly recommend them.

I wore these for my most recent full marathon, and they're just about perfect. They're not too big or too small, the zipper pockets are wonderful. I'm really particular about my running shorts - and especially the pockets! These aren't the kind of pockets that sway too much with a cell phone inside. While I didn't carry my phone with me during my last marathon, I was able to pack the pockets full of fuel needed for the entire distance. The zippers make sure I don't lose anything.

I've had these shorts through several loads of laundry, and they're holding up well. In my running clothes drawer, if I have a choice of all my shorts, I'll choose these. Definitely buying more.

Edit: My original review is now eight months old. The original black pair I purchased is holding up very well. Since then I purchased a red pair later last year and now I just bought two navy blue shorts. All of them are consistent in sizing and quality. They're my favorite shorts!

Just the right length and worth the money

I purchased the dark blue and light blue as my first purchase to try them out. I needed to replace some old mesh shorts that were faded and did not have pockets. Well I'm sure glad I found these and tried them out. I liked them so much I order more in dark cammo, green, maroon, and brown. The brown version I up sized to see what the difference was been the X-Large and XXL as I weigh 215 lbs. If I gain more weight, then the XXL will do fine. XXL works now, but I can tell a difference there's just more material and it's more baggy on me. The size chart is spot on.
I will say I was a little disappointed in the green as it's a dull green and not a bright green. I like having pockets that zip close, but I'm not used to having a hard zipper for side pockets. I like that one can not see through them as the material is thick enough. As a bonus, the G appears to be reflective should I wear these at night. The draw string is standard and as always wants to go into the fabric during the wash cycle, whereby I have to fish it out afterwards. Ugh. If they could have somehow made a system where this never happens, it would be worth extra money. Since I'm 5ft 9.5inches, the shorts hang above my knees about an inch or two, but definitely not mid-thigh. This is how I like them. They seem sturdy enough to wear outside for running, sports, or a quick trip to the store, but I primarily lounge around in them at home. However I have put my wallet, keys, and cell phone in the pockets and with the draw string pulled tight and knotted, they held up.

Great workout shorts

I'm not sure if I'm an anomaly here, but I like having zippered pockets on my workout shorts. It let's me keep things in my pocket without fear that they'll fall out when training.

So far they've been great for CrossFit, Olympic Weightlifting, and Powerlifting (specifically squats and deadlifts)

They're a great length and sit a few inches above the knees, the mesh is breathable, and they're just enough stretch to get all the mobility needed for deep atg squats and any kind of stretching. The only potential con is that they don't *feel* super quick-dry, but it's not something I've tested side by side so it's not something I can say definitively.

Regardless, out of the many workout shorts I've tested on Amazon has so far been my favorite, and I currently have 2 colors and will probably buy more.
