There was paint in the area where you have to attach it, but I scraped it off and was able to get it assembled. I used a tie wrap to attach to open end so there wouldn't be any chance of the flag escaping. All in all, it's a sturdy, good quality flag holder and I recommend buying it 😁

Great stand, if you can put it together

Love this stand. It looks great and is actually quite stable. However, when I received it, it had a defect in the threads of one of the connecting pieces and I could not put it together. My husband was able to do some magic and was able to get the pieces to go together. Otherwise, I would have needed to ship it all back, even though I just needed to replace one of the connector pieces. I was unable to find contact information for the company, so contacting them about the issue was not really an option. Thank goodness for handy husbands!

Beautiful stand, but defective wind clip

The stand assembled beautifully, though the package contained only the pieces of the stand and the wind clip, with no instructions. If you have problems with the joints of your fingers, you might want to have someone help you.

I'm sure this will look lovely in my yard, AFTER I replace the defective clip that is meant to keep the wind from flipping the flag around. The one included with the pole fell apart as I was threading it onto the pole. My choices were to return the entire assembly for complete replacement (at this point I have no confidence a replacement clip would fare any better than the original, since the problem was that the loop was too small for the pole in the first place); to purchase a heavy duty needle, thread and thimble to sew the loop back together (the cheap glue was part of the problem); or purchase clips from another dealer. Any of these choices mean extra money and/or time, which I really can't afford, as I'm on a fixed income, and have already waited close to a year to be able to get the flag and stand I wanted.

Quality Product - Stand's Flag Clip Could Be Heavier

This garden flag stand seems to be good quality - it's held up pretty well this winter, through ice, snow, and wind. That said, the flag does seem to flip back over the top of the stand more than I'd expect - I'm not sure if this is an issue with the flag or the stand clip not being as weighted as it should be. Leaning towards the latter as I'm not sure it makes sense to make a heavier flag, and I don't know how you'd really do that. It's easy enough to flip back, but it's annoying nonetheless.

Maybe I just have unrealistic expectations for a garden flag. Who knows. It's really only been an issue on especially windy days, so not a huge deal, and our flag has stayed on the stand through it all.

Again, good, quality product that we're overall quite happy with.

First of all, there was paint inside the screw sockets, making it extremely hard to connect the pieces. Once we finally connected the rod with the base and the top bracket, the scroll detail over the bracket simply snapped off. It never lasted long enough for me to even put a flag on it.

I have owned many small garden flag holders some were from the dollar store and some from big box stores like Lowes, none of them have ever been as nice as this one. I don't know why this one doesn't cost like $50?! It's very heavy, sturdy, and thick. I don't think my flag is ever going to find a way to remove itself from the stand like with my old ones. The flag clip is nice but a little confusing to figure out at first. I love this, I don't think I'll ever have to replace it either.

Easy to assemble and looks great

With the exception of the flag clip attachment, this was super easy for me to assemble. In all fairness, I have difficulty using my hands somewhat, however, the clip was very hard for me to open and insert the flag border in. I had to use a letter opener to pry the jaws apart so that I could even get the flag border into the jaws. Then I had to pull each side up individually to get the material further into the clip. I was afraid the flag would tear while I was pulling because the jaws were gripping tight. Hopefully, since that is the case, I am assured the winds will not be flipping the flag over the armature. I did use a tie wrap at the end of the arm to keep the scrollwork and arm together rather than gapping a little since we do get strong winds at times. The stand, as a whole, looks great, It is a little crooked, but not too noticeably so. I am pleased and will be ordering another one as I close this review.

Garden Flag Stand

I ordered two of these stands. One came perfect the other one had some melted metal in the area that the one end screws into so you could not assemble the stand. I notified Amazon and I had a replacement in two days and the construction was perfect. I appreciate the speed with which they took care of the problem.

I ordered this stand but it arrived missing the side clip. I contacted the seller and they had one shipped to me within 2 days. They were apologetic and overall had fantastic service.

This stand is very sturdy. I’ll come back in a year to amend my review it it doesn’t withhold the test of time/elements, but so far is A++
