First off, these are VERY lightweight. think of that polyester that you see flags made out of. This actually seems lighter! You could ball these up and no way you're doing to throw them more than 10 feet, they are too light and just open up like a parachute.
Of course the main thing is--not how far can you throw it, how does it do in the kitchen? Good enough for $4.50 each. You can definitely stuff this apron in a tiny space and keep it on hand as a backup in case you get your main apron dirty or forget your apron. It would fit easily in the pockets of a med- large roll up knife bag.
Kept spots off my clothes during a 8 hour cooking shift, but I don't know that you would want this as your every day apron, unless it was just as something quick to thrown on when you make dinner every night.
Pockets are quite small, just big enough to fit your hand in-without your thumbs. Big enough to hold a few pens and probably 5 sheets of paper folded up.
I bought these for my hubby to use in the garage, where he does a lot of painting and car work. They're a great fit, but the fabric is very thin. When he held it up to the sun, you can see right through it! But he just needs it to protect him from spills and splashes, so it gets the job done. He's been using them on a daily basis ever since they arrived.
Upon opening I thought the apron - while made of a very rough plastic-like fabric, looked OK it was when I actually used it in a hot kitchen (actually a bar-b-que grill,) that the waterproof benefits did not shine. Probably good for wet jobs, doing dishes, shucking oysters, etc. it won't replace my cotton aprons.
I purchased this product because of its price point and features (pocket and adjustable neck), but ultimately I wasn't pleased with its thickness and material. The weight of the 'cloth' is very thin - you can see light through it. In addition, I was planning on using the aprons for volunteers and having vinyl letters and a logo applied, but was unable to do so because it can't withstand the high heat necessary to apply.
Good cheap solution but the pockets are in an akward position and not deep enough. Also they are too closely spaced. Made for tall people. The apron is too long for me it goes halfway down my shin and I am 5'6"
I bought these aprons because I was looking for a light, water resistant apron for home use. The quality of these is very poor, but the price is very cheap. They are water resistant, but the fabric feels almost like laminated paper. They are okay for minimal usage, but you get what you pay for and these are cheap.
Got this in dec-end and used it for a while, being a home maker and needed tougher apron but i feel its thickness is less and waterproof is not really reliable when used while doing some cleaning near sink dress got wet. Adjustable is good but not thick n not waterproof but got 4 aprons for $16 something is reasonable price.can be good only as a cover while cooking or dry work.
