This should be compulsory reading for anyone who is involved with someone with postnatal depression! The writer is so empathic, and the storyline so engaging that I was totally gripped from the first page. Generally speaking I don’t warm to stories where there are two parallel time lines, but this was so well written and constructed that it was not at all confusing and I really cared what happened in both cases.
And just to avoid confusion - the book does not revolve around post natal depression, that is just one small aspect of it, but the descriptions of it were, in my limited experience, amazingly realistic.
Loved this book, up till the wee hour reading it, loved the characters. My only complaint is that it ended to fast. Felt like I was only 3/4 of the way through and then suddenly I was on the last page. I wanted to know so much more!
Another brilliant read...I have to stop reading a book a night but her writing and story telling is so incredible and her protagonists are so real that I can not put her books down until I am finished.
