It’s a nice looking stand, however it wobbles more than an integrated monitor stand. Depending on were the VESA mount is located on your monitor, this may not be useful; my Samsung has high VESA mounting holes so it ends up being lower than the provided stand even at the highest point of the VIVO post.
Don't get me wrong, this thing does it's job and pretty well. My biggest issue was the supplied Grommet adapter was only millimeters larger than my regulation hole so after a couple weeks i came to work one morning to find my monitor had pulled the adapter through the grommet and destroyed my Logitech Craft keyboard. I ended up cutting a piece of steel and used that instead of the supplied grommet accessories which i cut about 20% longer and it;'s been fine since. I feel like ive tightened it as much as i could but ithe main tube is still slightly wobbly when i move the screen or laptop around.
I've been using this monitor stand for over a year and have found it really robust and stable for holding a 34" ultrawide monitor. A major advantage of this stand is having so many different arm attachments available that really help in freeing up space on your desk.
My only real issue with the stand was the C-clamp mount design. The handle for tightening the mount to the desk is fairly large and it was obstructed by my Omnidesk cable management bar, preventing me from fully securing it to the desk. I resolved it by cutting and sanding the handle slightly which allowed me to fix it properly to the desk. Most likely not an issue for most people but definitely something to consider.
Vivo single desk mount V001 is strong sturdy holds the monitor perfectly in place were you place it, it really does look great and leaves more desk space, the only problem I had was with the desk clamp itself the little circlip holding the threaded bolt and plate together popped off and could not get it back on, I ended up having to mushroom the top over with a hammer in a vice, which ended up better than the clip that was on it, all in all very happy with my purchase.
You get exactly what you pay for and more! Packaging was absolutely solid and there was not damage what so ever, However, I will mention that some of the screws that held the stand segments in place were ludicrously tight, however untightening them somewhat fixed any slight issues to follow. Other then that, they slid right on my desk and still function great! Pickem up for this price because they are a steal for the price.
It is a great monitor arm but if you are looking for something that sits far back on your desk when you are not using it, this is not the one for you. I was under the impression you could push it right back almost like an accordion but it only bends so much so sticks forward a good foot. I can’t fault the quality though and have ordered one without the arm.
Very easy to set up but if you're like me you'd be a bit annoyed that the post doesn't stand up straight. To be fair at this price its sitting relatively straight considering its holding up my 27 inch monitor. In hindsight I should have gotten just the monitor post (vertical support) not the bending arm. But that was not available for delivery on prime.
Great value. Assembly was relatively simple (I used the clamp) and instructions were laid out well. There were videos online too when I ran into a snag installing the vesa plate. It holds up my giant LG 34UM68-P, a 34 inch ultrawide monitor, without any noticeable sagging. There's a bit of creaking in the up and down swivel but all the joints are adjustable so I'll tighten/loosen things here and there if needed. Knocking off a star because it came with a noticeable scratch on the mounting pole and I really didn't like the hex key tools.
Space is tight on the computer equivalent of a side table, so I needed something to mount my monitor. Every part needs to be assembled, so have 15 min handy. But just looking at the illustration of the finished product is enough to go on. All the parts are nicely partitioned, and it includes both short and long screws for attaching it to the VESA mount point.
After tightening it down with the included allen wenches, it holds a hefty 24" monitor without much give, and the mounting bracket can clamp onto anything between plywood and a thick desk. The only issue is screen pitch, where it will budge if it gets a light bump at the base, but the height adjustment is firm. The ability to swivel the screen into portrait is nice.
It won't win any beauty contests, but since it's supposed to sit in the background and hold the thing you're actually looking at, the point's moot.
Overall, for roughly $30, I recommend it if you need to mount a screen and prefer function over form.
