To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I just received these bags, but I’ll probably return them. My main concern is that even though the information on Amazon states that these bags are certified, the box does not indicate so. I emailed the “support”, and was assured that the bags are certified as compostable. Even so, something tells me they are not! I couldn’t find anything online to verify their certification.
I have used various compostable bags before this one just doesn't feel right. None of my other compostable bags have the kind of texture like this one. This one feels more like plastic than PSM. There is no information for the manufacture's claim of "compostable" material. it doesn't pass the smell test.
If I could give this product negative stars I would. Not sure why there are so many high reviews for these bags. The bags feel like they are plastic and just dyed green. My composting service WILL NOT accept these so this was a complete and entire waste of money.
These are misleading and lying on the package. They might be 'biodegradable' but they are NOT COMPOSTABLE. Our composting company warned me to not use these again and to only use bags that are truly compostable. They rave about the green color and how natural they are but it is all a marketing ploy. Apparently this is a common problem in the industry. Do your homework if you are composting for all the right reasons.
