I normally wear size 10 to 12 (M to L) and I ordered 12, expecting these to be a bit loose based on other reviews and the description. These jeans are not as described. They are tighter than skinny jeans. The material is not what is listed in the description. These do not have 2% spandex. The label says 1%, but I would be surprised if even that is true. When I put the jeans in front of me, they looked like they would fit well, but they're so stiff that I can barely get them up without hurting myself. When I finally did, they were below by belly button. These are low rise jeans, not high rise. Based on the inseam listed for the normal length, I thought these would be a bit long. They're actually a bit short and I'm only 5'4". The fly is super stiff. I couldn't zip it up when I tried on the pants. I took the pants off and tried again - it was still difficult to zip up and did not go all the way up. I broke part of my finger nail trying to get the fly working - I got it a bit better, but not good enough to wear. The inner label was also faded and slightly ripped when the product arrived. I expected better from this company. These jeans are too stiff to wear and the sizing is smaller than it should be especially considering how stiff these are.
This Lee jean was the worst fit of any Lee jeans I've worn in the past! And I have worn Lee jeans for 30 years. I couldn't even zip them up & the button was so tight, couldn't button it even when not wearing. Now, you could say they claim to be "instantly slimming", so what did I expect? Well, I stopped wearing girdles a long time ago & this jean felt tighter than that (couldn't take a deep breath or sit in them)! I also bought this same jean in black at the same time. They are a perfect fit, & sometimes black jeans run a little smaller in the same style. The thing I've learned about Lee jeans is, if you find a pair that you love, run, don't walk, back to the merchant & by 6 more pairs! You will never find that same style again. Edit: Got these in Inspire Blue & tag says "Made in Egypt". The same style in black says "Made in Mexico". The 2 pairs of "Midrise Straight" jeans in faded blue I bought 2 years ago (I loved & they're discontinued) came from Egypt & China! The pair from Egypt still look good. The pair from China had faded unevenly & stretched up another size! Went to the trash. Check your tags for "Made in"!
I bought two pair, one was light and one dark. The dark pair is fine. The light pair smells very bad. It smells like horible musty chemicals. I washed them 5 times and they still smell. Since there were a light color, I thought I would soak them in a dilution with bleach. I soaked them for 2 days. They did become more light colored, which I am fine with. Then I washed them 3 more times to get the bleach smell out. So I wore them to work today. They don’t smell like bleach anymore but smell like that horrible chemical. When I sit at my desk at work, I can’t stand the smell.
I wear an 8 in most pants, a six in others. I have a pair of Lee relaxed fit straight leg jeans that I bought last fall. If anything, the pair that I have is slightly big and too relaxed. This pair, in the exact same size , 8L was too short (no way is this a 33” length) and I could barely button them. What’s more, I would characterize the rise as too low, about 2” below navel, perfect spot for muffin top enhancement. If there is spandex in this Jean, it’s not apparent to me. Awful.
I got these for work pants thinking they were a khaki color. I guess the color on my iPhone is a little off. Not really their fault. However, these pants are ugly. The cut is ugly. They are not flattering at all and they make me feel like an old woman. I’m only 30! They are so very ugly. The ankles are wide, and they feel like bellbottoms. I know it’s a straight leg but I feel like they flare out. So very very very ugly. It’s way too short to. So not only are they bellbottoms, but they’re also capris when I sit down. Gross. They’re not flattering on my butt, and I have a very nice butt. I can’t return them because it has been three days past my 30 days! So I’m stuck with these god awful pants. Probably going to donate them but I don’t know. I wouldn’t wish these pants on my worst enemy let alone some nice person looking for pants at a thrift store. by the way, I got the palisades color and it’s not exactly khaki color.
5'7" 135lbs, size 10 was a perfect fit and perfect length, made me so happy. But the chemical smell was HORRIBLE!! Washed and dried - still smelled bad. Hung outside in the sunshine 9am to 5pm - still smelled bad. Soaked overnight 7pm to 9am in the washer with 1 pound of baking soda and 2 scoops of oxy, then washed and dried - STILL SMELLED BAD!!! Gave up - sending them back. So disappointed. Dare not try another of the same, even tho the fit was wonderful for me. Very Sad :(
