To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Great device shipped from USA to Australia quickly and without issues. Setup with WAZE was a little long but VERY secure. Pairing to my iPhone was easy and use is easy with weight readings coming up on both the phone and scale.
Really very happy with this device has linked in easily and seemlessly into my household & home. I would recommend this scale to anyone how’ll listen... real advocate desperate to trial more Wyze products.
Update: the weight measurement now seems consistent and accurate, but the other metrics, not.
Original review: Nice scale and easy to use but the metrics it measures and reports don't seem to be accurate. Day 1 scale reports I weigh 213.6 lbs., no clothes on. Day 2, 24hrs later, I'm 208.4 lbs., no clothes on. No way did I shed 5lbs in 24hrs. (I wish).
The pulse monitor is way off. I use Kardia 6 point ekg to measure my pulse & detect presence of afib. Side-by-side comparisons the Wyze scale showed half the pulse rate the Kardia did. For example, 71 on the scale, 128 on ekg unit. That's no small error, that's huge! Consequently I suspect the bodyfat and other metrics are off as well.
Other than that its a sharp looking scale for $35 so will keep.
After owning my last scale for 7+ years, I decided it was time to update to a Bluetooth scale. This was such a great option! This scale is accurate as compared to my last scale, which also proved accurate up against doctor’s office scales. I love that it measures to the tenth of a pound rather than to the fifth of a pound. The body fat estimate and water percentage estimates are nice, though I have no way of knowing how accurate they are. I think one of my favorite features, however, is the Base Metabolic Rate - BMR. This estimate lines up with the body scan I had at my gym recently on a ten thousand dollar machine. I’ve been dealing with prematurely (surgical) post menopausal weight gain, and am working to get that weight off, so having an accurate BMR helps tremendously as it gives me the information I need to know what calorie range I should be aiming for. All in all, a very, very good scale, especially for the price.
I have other Wyze products which haven't disappointed, and the scale was at a very reasonable price and contained a lot of features therefore I purchased it. It is very easy to pair by Bluetooth to your phone app. The only issue I have are the readings I get on the scale. Each time I step on the scale I can get a different reading. So I never know what reading is correct. It can be off from half a pound to 1 lb each time I step on the scale. At some points when I step on the scale it continues to read zero and I have to remove the batteries reinstall them and then it works sometimes... Often times I have to use another scale just to make sure that the scale is within the same range. Therefore I am a little disappointed with the accuracy of the readings.
Found this wonderful scale on CNN.com as a comparison of 10 scales. This was #1, so I linked to check out Amazon. Sure enough, listed there at $19.
I had to leave unexpectedly, and when I returned and checked the URL, I was appalled to watch the price climb up, up, up to $58. WHAT!?! I wasn't that much in need of a fancy scale!!
Just for chuckles 'n' giggles the next day, I checked again. CNN.com was still listing it as $!9, but Amazon was getting $34 for it. So...I sighed and ordered one. Prime Shipping delivered it easy peasy and I hooked it up and tried it out. Glad I went with the Wyze scale--just ticked off big time about the price climb.
Super easy to use, need to download the app. You can add multiple people. I feel this scale is accurate plus gives you additional information. Connecting to the scale is easy and fast. Along with switching between people. If you want to weigh yourself without connecting to the app your able to. This does not record your weight, to record your weight you have to be connected to bluetooth.
Records heart rate, weight, muscle mass, body water and body fat.

Have had it running for two months now and it honestly works exactly as described/envisioned. We do not have any problems with the scale bouncing between pairing with my wife's phone and mine, it has always done it seemlessly. The scale's measuresments are always quite repeatable, something I've typically found frustrating with other scales. It has also proved to be quite accurate when placing items of known mass on it. 10/10 would buy again.
This scale is packed with a lot of features. The Wyze scale replaced my current (kinda) smart scale, which only measured weight and body fat %. The old scale also only saved readings to the scale itself. So many other health metrics available with Wyze, and I love that those are immediately available in the app for me to review. The results seem to be pretty accurate and consistent. It's also easy to use. Literally just stand on it and it does its thing in just a few seconds. My only issues, and it's minor, is the Wyze app. They use 1 app for all their products and it kinda felt like the scale was an afterthought. In fact at setup I initially thought I might have the wrong app, it was all about their lighting products, etc. That said, once I found the scale and connected mine I was good to go. Oh,, and worth a price right around 30 bucks you really can't go wrong. All in all still a 5 star product.
