When I opened the package, I was horrified, it looked awful( picture included)
I then started playing with the branches and ended up with the second picture. Then I turned on the light. Absolutely gorgeous!
It looks great with the lights off and amazing when they are on. The picture doesn’t do this justice.

The silver stuff is hand wrapped and looks like aluminum, but isn’t. I love it. I’d recommend it.

When I first took this out of the box I immediately wanted to put it back in the box and send it back. It seemed to be so cheaply made that I couldn’t believe I paid $20 for it… the last picture shows you just how cheap the base looks… You can cover up the base. I just used the wrapping that was in the box for a quick example photo. I really like the fact that you can use batteries and put it anywhere. I will let you know how long the batteries can keep this going. It does come with a cord, but no actual unit that goes into the socket for USB. It does not hold a charge from the USB but you can plug it into the wall, if you would prefer. It’s very moldable and very bright. I’m not sure how great of a nightlight it would be because it is really bright LOL. Overall, I recommend this product and I really like it.

I was surprised at how cheap it looks and feels. I would not have been surprised to see it at a "dollar" type of store for $9.99 or less. Not worth anywhere near the $30 price tag. We're going to accept our mistake and dress it up a bit with a nice small pot of some sort and mix it in with some other decorations, but buyer beware, it's fairly chintzy.

UPDATE: Downgrading my rating from 2 stars to 1. In less than 24 hours, nearly half of the bulbs stopped working. It actually looked really nice in the evening when the room it was in darkened, but as I said before, up close it looks cheap. And now that it's not working, I've no choice but to return it. I would never consider, at this price, replacing it with a new one.

It looks like a collection of wires wrapped in tin foil. It is silver, until you turn the light on, and it casts a golden glow. My desk has all gold accessories, and the tree looks both cheap and out of place without the light on. That said, it is pretty when you do turn the light on.

It arrives flat, and you have to arrange the branches into a 3D tree shape by yourself. I'm not artistic, and I found this challenging. I wasn't totally happy with how it looked into I made my artist daughter fix it for me.

The product came well-packaged. It's easy to assemble, and the ability to adjust branches, to individual style, is great. It's a very lightweight lamp, so I would imagine that it's easy to knock over by kids or pets. It gives off enough light to attract attention, provide some visibility in the dark, and create ambiance, without being too bright or distracting.

I took a star off because the wrapping looks like tin foil. It's smooth and shiny, but a bit cheap looking, up close. My first thought was to try to contact aliens with it. However, when the lights are on, they create an almost magical, snow-like gleam, which is very attractive, especially from a distance. I wouldn't use the lamp as a center piece, but it's an interesting, functional piece to have in the room.

I took a second star off because I think there could be functionality improvements to the product. It would be nice if it had a timer, or if it could be used with a smart plug. It's a touch lamp, so it must be manually turned on. Secondly, it would be nice to have color options.

I'll keep this item, but I wouldn't buy it again. So far, no alien contact has been made with it, so 0 stars as an interstellar beacon. 3 stars as an interesting lamp.

What I like: the branches are highly adjustable, the lights function well, it's pretty and sturdy.
What I don't like: the construction is a little "shabby" is the best word I can think of -- not a very fine finish; kind of looks like the result of a home crafting project. (If you want an up-close look to get a better idea of what I mean, some local home decor retailers carry similar products.)

The light emitted is a little stronger than I would have preferred, but of course this depends on your intended use and personal preference.

It’s such a cute little tree, but I had bought it to use as a night light in my daughter’s room and it was waayyyy too bright for this purpose....so after some thought I decided to add flowers. It’s super cute now, but I spent an additional $40 making it work for me, which was well over any night light budget and the reason I gave only 4 stars.

I bought this tree because my new warmer doesn't glow and I love the soft light of a glowing warmer. I wasn't expecting to love this tree so much. It would be a perfect gift for someone who wants a little ambiance lighting in their room. I use it every night. Easy on/off button. You can shape the branches how you want them. It's one of my favorite things in my room.
