The shirt is great quality, couldnt be happier with the shirt itself; however, the sizing chart is a little off, fit bigger than the chart shows. I had to go a size down and it still leaves extra room. 4 stars only because the sizing chart is off. Other than that I love this shirt!

This is, indeed, 2 tone. Enlarge the image to see. I wanted a solid to wear with prints, & it will work for me. Your eye kind of blends them together and the black/white becomes dark charcoal. The pattern is herringbone. Very preppy.
It's thin, &
has a moderate nap. Does not really look flannel (though yo can feel it). This could make it better for layering. Iron it up & it will have a crisp appearance, rather than frumpy flannel, which is what I'm usually going for these days. I like it.
I have not laundered it yet. Hopefully, it's good enuf quality that they preshrunk the fabric. (Sheesh, why don't they do that?)

Don’t listen to the comments that say get a size up etc. Get your exact size and it will fit. I’m 5’7” with pretty long arms and although the medium was perfect in terms of arm length, everything else was super big. I could wear it as a flannel, or a summer long sleeve (open only) because it was just too big around the waist and bust. I went and ordered a small and it fits perfectly. It’s still quite roomy, but the arms fit nicely and I love the style. It looks exactly as shown and the material isn’t too thick and quite soft. I even got a compliment on it the first day of wearing!

I'm usually a medium in tops, but I find button downs usually a little tight in the chest area for me, so I ordered a large. It was HUGE on me. So I returned it. I planned on buying a medium, but the small in the color I wanted was a good price, so I took a chance and ordered a small, just to see how it would fit. It actually fit me pretty well. If anything, it's a little long and a little wide at the bottom where it flares. But it's not a big deal. The material is nice and it looks good either buttoned or open over a t-shirt or tank top. Good buy.

The gray herringbone pattern looks great, the flannel fabric feels wonderfully soft, and the stitching and seaming workmanship is high quality. It's also true that the small (S) I received is way too large on me, much wider than my shoulders, surprisingly long, boxy like a man's shirt, and I would prefer a button on the bottom instead of a Dickies decal. I can either lounge in it or else hide the shoulders and length under a coat.
