I got this rug for the toilet plus 3 matching bathroom rugs of various sizes. They are definitely bright neon green like the picture. I took 1 star off because in the 2 weeks I have had them, they shed a lot causing me to have to pick up green bits that trail around the house. I took another star off because the rubber on the bottom is mediocre at best and they constantly slide around. There 2 things are not severe enough for me to return the 5 rugs, but they are annoying and I will not be buying this brand in the future.
Don’t just think you’re chancing $20 on this purchase.
This schmattah shed so much just sitting one day on my bathroom floor, that I’d hate to think of the repair bills I’d end up if I ever put this “washable” rug into my machine, where it’d be likely to gum up the drain hose and flood my laundry room floor. And let’s not even try to imagine how bald this rug would be after its first wash and dry given the amount of fiber it shed just lying on the floor one day.
Oh, and the rug was supposed to be 20x24, but I think they reversed the dimensions, because sitting on the commode, the rug was about 4” shorter than my feet!!
OK, sometimes products slip by quality control. The packaging included a request for consumers to work directly with the company if dissatisfied. So I emailed as requested. Zero response. (Is anybody home or awake there?)
I hate the idea of harming a company with such a harsh review. On the other hand, I hate when merchants waste my valuable time (hoping I’ll just give up and surrender the misspent money). And I suspect many others share the same sentiment, so wanted to spare them.
Good news is that I discovered just how quick and easy it was to return Amazon purchases at Kohl’s, which is less than 2 miles from my home. They issued me a $5 Kohl’s cash coupon for my transaction, so I applied that to the store purchase of a contour rug on sale there. They issued another 20% discount at the cash register, bringing the price lower than what I paid on line!
Plus, their rug apparently got the dimensions down correctly. My feet don’t hang over the edge of the rug.
This contour rug was exactly what I was looking for. Perfect (green) color I wanted AND it fit around the bottom of toilet, which is handicap height. It really is soft and plush shag type. Others complained that it wasn't very thick, which I don't understand?? This is really thick plus it doesn't slip on tile that I have in this bathroom (Powder Room. Price was right too. I found it very difficult finding any throw rugs in a color I want. Everything is grey now. Built this house almost 14 years now and the tile is cream color with flecks of a light green so grey just doesn't work! I'll buy this brand again.
This is a soft and brightly colored rug, but the hard plastic slippery bottom makes it really problematic. One can dig in ones toes into softness and lush color while one slides ones death on the bath floor. Actual label says to not use the rug in moisture, so.. where does one use this rug if not in a bathroom? Or what bathroom do you have that isn’t moist? These questions should be considered.
I got tired of the cold tile floor in the bathroom and I selected this product for a combination of features and colors. That was about six months ago and I am still as happy with it as when I purchased it. Now I am thinking about buying another one for the 2nd bathroom in the house. Although I do go in there often and it had a sheet vinyl floor I think it would still be nice to have the same comfort underfoot.
If you're into an oversized contour rug that, after washing in cold water by itself, then drying on a fluff heat setting...comes out of the dryer with many missing fibers (literally had to use a broom to sweep them off the floor)...then have at it. Mine ended up in the garbage.
While this rug is pretty color-wise, it just doesn't fluff up that well. And the backing may be rubberized, but it slides all over the floor. We have tile and this rug will not hold in place. Washing it isn't great, either. The pile just doesn't fluff back up that well. Bummer.
I was expecting it to be firmer, but this is a very soft carpet! Works great and washes really well. Considering there are 3 boys in the house, this is perfect for keeping the area clean and saves me from having to do daily floor detox.
The rug is perfect and lush and so soft and there is no skimping on size or quality. The color is beautiful. I’ve washed it a few times and even dried it for a few too many minutes and it still looks wonderful. My problem is that my bathroom door opens across the rug and it is SO plush that the door cannot pass over it and gets stuck. If that’s not an issue for you, do not hesitate to buy this.
I was very pleased when I received my rugs. However, they became matted after a very short time. I've washed them and dried them several times per instructions on the rugs but to no avail. I'm very disappointed they only lasted a couple of months before matting and shedding threads.
