The plight of a busty woman is finding a sports bra that acts like an underwire but feels like a shelf bra. I have yet to find my match made in heaven but this does the job...somewhat. Its a bit tight to wear all day. For an hour of exercise, its ok, but longer and it feels constraining, especially around my ribs. Its NEVER loosens up. Other bras I have start to stretch after a few hours of wear and over time, that stretch stays. This bra ain't budging- a blessing and a curse. Its solid, almost like armor; I kid you not, it can stand up on its own. But that shows that the bra is well-made and doesn't allow jiggling to happen, another big problem for big-chested girls. I do "overflow" a bit in the right cup and that's annoying because going up a cup means up in straps and that never works for me. I'm short. I need short straps and big cups. But overall, this bra does the job and is holding up really well so I can't complain. Just wish it came in more styles/colors. And maybe a front clasp for a racer-back style because using the clips on the existing straps to make the bra racer-back is difficult and makes the bra tighter. I do not love that. So, if you're of ample bosom, it may take a try or two to find the best size.
I originally ordered a 36DD, which is my normal bra size, and found the band to be VERY difficult to close. So I ordered a 38DD this time, and the band fits nicely, but feels a bit big in the cups until I latch the neck hook. I'm a fairly short person, so I have the adjustable straps as small as they go and it's barely snug enough. I wish I was able to see this in stores so I could try the 38D and see if that one is better/worse than the two I already have. I walk/jogged 6 miles in this baby and felt completely supported the entire time. It does collect your sweat though, so I highly recommend hanging or laying it out to air dry to avoid any smells.
I have only two issues with this bra, but first I have to say Champion makes THE BEST sports bras! I've been using them for 20 years and still haven't found one I like better! This particular bra supports great, extra nipple coverage with built in "flowers" in the fabric, wide, comfy straps, soft fabric all-over. My only issue with this specific model is 1. The hooks on the back of the straps to make it a "racer back" snag and tear my hair. There is nothing I can do about that if I want my hair down or in a braid, so I cut them off with wire nippers. 2. The added elastic band around the bottom is pointless, and good for nothing but looks. It basically is one extra thing to tuck and roll and cause irritation. The one Champion bra like this without the elastic band is a better bet, I give that one 5 stars, whereas I give this a 4.
This is ALMOST perfect! Very supportive and even kinda cute. I typically wear 34DD but am learning that 36D fits me better in sports options. This is still a *tad* on the too-snug side and does leave lines when I take it off, but it doesn't painfully cut in as others have and it has a nice broad band below the bust to ease pressure on the ribs. The straps are comfy and wide. I find these easiest to hook like I'm 12--pulling it around front, hooking, then twisting it around and back up--because the elastic is so strong, but that's the only flaw.
Haven't used it too much but felt very comfortable horseback riding even at sitting trot (if you are not familiar: so much bouncing). On a hot day I did not feel sticky in this even though the fabric is thick, so I guess it does a good job wicking. Recommended!
I wear a 32DDD and purchased this in a 36D based on reviews. The sizing is bizarre, but it fits me very well. Now, after using it 3 times, I can say I definitely like it. It is, indeed, built like a suit of comfy armor, but that is exactly what I like about it. The tall band keeps it in place, and the wide straps do not dig into my shoulders. I did not like it crossed in the back - it made my trapezius muscles hurt - but the wide straps stay up just fine even on my tiny shoulders. The support is excellent and indeed maximum for any sport, it breathes very well, and it makes my old girls look fantastic under my shirt! I hope it holds up well.
This is an ok sports bra. I like the thicker shoulder straps and the clip in the back is nice. Nice looking, with fun colors. I prefer the old style Champion with seams for support. Stretchy fabric with moulded cups is not as effective at motion control as a bra with seams. An inner layer with seamed support would have made this a lot better. It's almost there, but I wouldn't go jogging or horseback riding in it.
This product runs small. I normally wear a 34 DDD from VS. I like a sports bra that is snug, has the underwire and clasps. I fell in love with one I ordered years ago that was discontinued. I thought ordering a 34DD would be ok, as I have ordered previous champion sports bras in the past in that size. nope way too small. So I ordered another one and sized up 36DD, it’s a little tight but will stretch as I wear it so that’s fine.
This bra holds in any bouncing when doing rigorous workouts. I usually wear if for weight workouts with some HIIT. It does shift side-to-side some when I'm doing high intensity workouts that involve twisting the upper body (like boxing).
This bra is the highest supporting sports bra I’ve ever had. For this reason alone, I’m rating it 4/5 stars because finding a bra that actually supports high impact activities if you’re above a B cup is nearly impossible. That said, it runs ridiculously small. I normally wear a 34D, and the band is so rigid and small I needed to use my bra extenders. The hook is also very loose if you choose to go racer back. It’s uncomfortable to hook after the bra is on, but good luck trying to pull the whole whole thing over your head if you decide to hook beforehand.
