For some reason this doesn't absorb water. Everytime someone showers we have to hang this to dry and wipe the floor when we lift it. It becomes completely saturated with water and takes a long time to dry. However the colour is really nice and it's very soft.
These rugs are an accident waiting to happen! We bought eight of these plud two in a larger size at full price for our hardwood floors and were delighted -- for about a minute. As lovely and they look and feel, they move around (forget non skid!) and the edges catch on our shoes, bare feet, even the dog's paws. We waited too long to return, thinking buying non skid fabric and cutting it to fit on the bottom would solve the problem. Forgetaboutit! What a waste of money. Back to square one. Very dissatisfied customer.
We bought this mat so we would not slip when getting out of the shower. However my husband has slipped and fallen several times as the mat slid when he stepped on it. Last night he stepped on the mat and crashed falling back into the shower stall hitting his head, and injuring himself several places, and cutting his legs badly on the edge of the shower door. We do not recommend this bath rug as the great NON SLIP BATH RUG!
Very disappointing that these mats do not stay in place. Not even close! They slide all over. They have nice feel but pointless since they don’t stay put. Tried reaching seller, tags still on, and in original box but when finally went to return it was just past 30 days can’t return and no contact info. They need to take “durable backing to keep rug in place” off of the packaging and info, that is not true.
First of all this thing is not even a true 48x24. Second, you will break your back with how badly it slides. I might as well wear ice skates in the bathroom because it's straight up dangerous. The backing is NOT anti slip at all! On its way back.
