Compré este producto directamente de un enlace que me envío una persona que la compró y yo recibí la versión de muy muy baja calidad. No es en absoluto parecida a la que sale en las fotografías. Dice en el instructivo que se conecta por medio de Bluetooth y en realidad trae un cable, según para cargar, pero nunca se carga y si no está conectada a la corriente, no funciona. Además, la aplicación está llena de faltas de ortografía y al compararla con otras básculas, nos dimos cuenta que hasta la versión “buena” los parámetros de medición están fatal. Puedes estar muy muy saludable y la báscula siempre marca que estás gordo, deshidratado y te vas a morir mañana.

The scales come nicely packaged and take a few minutes to get set up with the app on your mobile device. The app, while extremely helpful and informative, is not required to use the scales, so if you have someone in the house who stubbornly hates technology then they can still make use of the scales. You simply step onto the scales and the information will be displayed on the scales screen and your Bluetooth device in real-time.

The screen is nicely backlit, and the scales take four AAA batteries as a power source, the first set is provided, which is always nice. The build quality seems spot on all around, the scales have a glass top with metal pads as indicators of where to place your feet to get an accurate measurement.

You do have to make an account with the app and input your age and height for the app to function as intended. The app can also integrate with Google Fit and Fitbit if you are already invested into those fitness apps so that you can share the weight measurements with them easily, the option to export into CSV is also present so that you can make your own spreadsheet or use the data as you would like.

The app is a lot quicker and easier than manually tracking changes in weight with a separate app, which you have to do with a standard set of scales. The app and scales do all the work for you in regard to tracking, and it also gives calculated estimates of almost all aspects of body weight. Though it cannot be fully accurate, and the numbers are based on averages and assumptions, so take the information with a grain of salt. If there ever is an issue with the scales, you can input manual changes in weight, so the app doesn’t fully rely on the scales at least.

The data syncs specifically to your device and app, so you don't have to be concerned with other people having access to your stats if you are worried or embarrassed about it in any way. It can track and sync up to 8 people at once, though this is more than most families would require, though the extra headroom for larger families is nice.

At the current price of £35.24 with a £5 voucher available, these are still a good bit more expensive than many alternatives that do the same thing. They work well and are built robustly, but the competition does everything these do for less money. If these scales did something that the others didn't, I could justify the extra cost, and in fact there are cheaper options that have more features than this product.

These scales are as good looking, as they are useful! They are a very nice glassy black and the sensors / feet are in metallic silver. Generally speaking, they are good looking and they fit any bathroom and dare I say they bring a sense of posh-ness to it!

Now, in terms of functionality, the unit requires a Bluetooth connection with a smartphone and the installation of an app, AIFitHealth, to operate fully. If one does not want this, then the best they can hope for is just a reading of their weight on the unit itself. It's when it's paired with the app that things become quite interesting!

The app, when launched, senses the scales and asks the person to board the scales. The user then has to stay on the scales for around 20-30 seconds for the weight to be accurately measured and then for the various sensors to do their work and give their readings, from the classic BMI to the metabolic age and so many things inbetween!

Now, if you ask me about accuracy, I'll say that I am no expert. I don't expect this to be a professional, 100% accurate set of scales, but then again, if it's ballpark, motivational measurements that one wants, then one gets those and some more!

Overall, I found this to be an eye opener! Now, on to my exercise elliptical bike to bring that pesky BMI and body fat numbers down!

Great way to track everyones weight and health

Whilst most people just use the scales to check, once in a blue moon how they're doing weight wise, this one is a good item to have as it will link up with your smart phone to help you keep track of your health and weight alongside a few others in the household. Its easy to set up, works very well and at the end of the day finding things out quicker will also help you make the adjustments sooner so its not such a slog to get back to where you want.
