The mats are stylish and comfortable. The cushioning is especially nice when working barefoot although it also adds a noticeable level of cushion even when wearing shoes. The top surface easily wipes down keeping the surface looking new.
It took a day or two for the curl from shipping to flatten out and for the new rubber smell to dissipate. The non-slip backing isn't very non slip when you're not standing on the mat. When you're standing on the mats they don't go sliding around but when I'm stepping on or off they move easily across the floor. This leaves them getting knocked out of position fairly easily.

Surface has checked badly and the coloring is peeling off. Similar to an old tractor or atv seat which was left out in the sun to much.
(pending review of replacement mats offered by manufacturer after posting this review..)

(update 6 months later). The mats still feel great and clean up nicely. However, the edges are losing their color like it's paint and has been rubbed off. For this reason, I am lowering my rating from 5 to 4 stars.

These mats look and feel great. The color (black) is more of a dark gray than true black, but they still compliment my kitchen. The mats come rolled up and at first I was concerned about the curled edges, but once I put them down they smoothed out nicely. There was a faint plastic odor, but it quickly faded once left in the open. They look like woven fabric. The cushioning is nice and feel good to stand on, as much as my last mat that I paid double this price. The pictures make them look larger than they are so read the measurements carefully. Still nice though. They seem like they'd clean up easily. All in all, I'm pleased."

Better than anticpated

I like that these are narrow. There is plenty of room to stand on them and they don't move when standing on them but are easy enough to move to clean around. They look great. I do have to scrub a little to get off anything that splatters on them but way better than the cloth one I had before.

The only think I don't like about these runners is that they are so much smaller than pictured. They are squishy, just what I need after a long day of running after students. I have sore feet/ankles and this is so nice to stand on while I prep cook and make meals.

Con: alittle wrinkles, mine came with alittle black stain and it slips easily

I only had carpet tape so I used alittle of it so it doesn't slip but when I tried to take it off the carpet ripped so don't use carpet tape for it.

I really like the look of these rugs. They are comfortable for standing. The only problem is that they constantly slide, they don't stay where you put them. This gets annoying really fast. I have them in my kitchen.

Got the black/silver color. The design is nice. It's smaller than I realized but works well if your area isn't huge. The color is off to me. Tne silver has a slight purple tint.
