Absolutely love these dispensers. I have bought many of them because they are so easy to use, recharge and refill.
Only thing to be aware of is the type of soap you use, if you recharge with soap that is too thick they don’t work well.
Easily solved, just need to find the right solution. As an Aussie, I find the Bosistos soap range the best.
SimpleHumans service is also amazing, after I had a minor problem with one of my dispensers they replaced it and the whole experience was really positive. Great company and great culture to create an experience like that!

Poor Quality Control

We bought 2 of these units, 1 was fantastic and still is. The second however was either shoddy workmanship or was missed in the quality control. The outer housing and the inner electrics didn't line up. The on button was being held in by the housing and the charging puck couldn't make contact to power up the unit. These are not cheap and considering price usually means quality and longevity, I was very disappointed. Then there is the drawn out return process. I need another one, but can't purchase that until the cash that I have parted with gets credited back to the account, and its now been 8 days.

They have changed the refill port to a very narrow small hole rather than the full bottle size like previous machine. So it's VERY hard to fill up now.

This looks great and works well once you've figured out how sensitive the sensor is for dispensing the soap.

However, filling with liquid soap is a slow and tedious process - even if you use the SimpleHuman soap.

A minor problem is that there isn't a sight indicator to see how much soap is in the dispenser.

The big problem is that the only air vent for space that your pour the soap into, is the hole through you pour the soap. If it was water you were trying to pour instead of soap, it would be fine, but the liquid SimpleHuman soap is quite viscous and blocks the air vent. You then have to wait for the air bubble(s) to come out and release the air pocket before you can add some more in.

What should be a one to two minute job turns into a ten minute exercise of pouring and waiting, and pouring a bit more, and then waiting, and so on.

Also, without the sight it is very hard to know how close to full you are as well..

This is a great idea, lovely design, but poorly executed.

Ich habe bereits so einige Seifenspender durchprobiert und ich denke mal das ich, wie die meisten anderen Käufer auch, zuerst immer auf den Preis geguckt haben. Die meisten Geräte sind sofort und einige anderen bereits nach kurzer Zeit durchgefallen. Nur eins konnte ein paar wenige Monate überzeugen, fing dann aber an zu rosten.

Dann habe ich mich entschlossen mal ein paar Euro mehr zu investieren und habe mir den Seifenspender von simplehuman zugelegt. Und ich habe es wahrlich nicht bereut.

Man legt ganz einfach vier AA Akkus in das Batteriefach das durch eine einfache Drehung zu öffnen ist, füllt sie Seifen in das durchsichtige Vorratsfach und schon kann es losgehen. Um das Gerät einzuschalten hält man einfach die +Taste gedrückt und es blinkt kurz eine grüne LED auf. Möchte man das Gerät ausschalten hält man di -Taste gedrückt und es leuchtet eine rote LED auf.

Die Seifenmenge die austreten soll kann man ganz einfach über die +/- Taste einstellen. Der Seifenstrahl kommt recht kräftig heraus und bis jetzt hat noch kein Tropfen es gewagt hinterher zu kommen nachdem sich die Öffnung wieder verschlossen hat. Egal ob ich es mit Wasser, mit Desinfektionsmittel oder mit seife getestet habe.

Mich hat der Seifenspender von simplehumanzu 100% überzeugt und ich habe bereits den zweiten für einen guten Freund bestellt der ihn bei mir gesehen hat und auch sofort begeistert war. Auch er hatte schon verschiedene Seifenspender, wollte aber trotzdem den simplehuman habe um seinen jetzigen auszutauschen.

Von mir gibt es eine absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Not worth the money or aggravation

I bought this on 10/2/2019, it stopped working 11/10/2019, just outside the Amazon 30 day return window so I had to contact the manufacturer Simple Human direct. They told me to do the following: 1. Press and hold the power button down for 5 seconds.
2. Wipe the sensor lens clean. We recommend using rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth to do so.
3. Press the power button for 1 second to turn the unit on.
4. Completely cover the sensor window and tap the power button quickly 3 times. Note that this will make the pump run continuously until the sensor window is uncovered.

So, that did NOT work. Then they need the serial number which is hidden inside the bottom. So you have to dump all the soap out and use a magnifying glass to actually see it. Then finally, they give me a Fed Ex label to return it. But they say please note it can take 72 hours for a technician to look at it and repair it. If they can't, they will send you a new one. So, it is shipping GROUND back to them and then a 72 hour wait for a technician to look at it for a possible repair, I wonder how long it will be until I get this awful soap dispense back that I fear will just stop working again. I have no option to just send it back for a credit so I am stuck with it. I have had so much back and forth with customer service, I can't believe how much time I have wasted already on this thing. Don't add to cart and don't buy now. You WILL regret it.

Massive step backward for design

If you've used previous models of Simplehuman soap dispensers, then this is a MASSIVE step backward.

Yes, it's brushed steel and rechargeable, but that's all the good points.

As other reviews, filling is unnecessarily tedious - the hole is too narrow and any liquid you pour in has no room for air to come out to sits there with the soap reservoir still empty. You need a stick or back handle of a spoon or something to stir it in. Imagine trying to fill up your engine oil through a straw - this is what it feels like.

I reckon they did their testing using water and put it into production.

There is no soap level.

The bottom is hard plastic compared to the rubberised surface of previous models.

The distance / amount of soap dispensation is gimmicky at best. To their credit, it works with most liquid soaps without having to water down unlike other makes.

If this was less than half the price and from some unknown far eastern company, I'd say it was okay.

However, for something costing £70 and from a company like Simplehuman, this is a very poorly thought out product.

This product should not be on sale. I bought three for a disabled relative who can shower themselves but, with the use of only one hand, cannot use a normal shampoo, conditioner or shower gel container. Two were returned after only a few days of use. One emptied itself overnight and then continued to empty itself as soon as refilled, the other simply stopped working. I asked for replacement with one and a refund for the other. To be fair, Amazon processed this quickly. Unfortunately the replacement also stopped working almost immediately and has also gone back for a refund. The final unit worked well for a few weeks but has just packed up completely, too late to return. Clearly these units are too unreliable to be on sale. After a great deal of trouble we are left with no useable dispenser and the solution we should have probably adopted from the start, three small plastic cups left filled the night before that ourrelative can simply pick up, turn over in their one good hand and then drop on the shower floor.
